Korye Dance Theatre is a non-profit, NGO culture group based in Cape Coast Ghana. Korye is high energy and highly skilled when it comes to their craft. Korye’s primary mission is to promote intercultural understanding and raise awareness of development issues in Ghana using the traditional arts of African drumming and dancing.
‘Korye’ means ‘unity’ in our language. We believe that together we can achieve anything. We partner with other non-profit organizations and communities to work on projects that will aid development in all of Ghana.
If you are coming to Ghana, come see a performance. You can find a schedule at Nana Yesman’s African Crafts on Victoria Road. Or stop by our training grounds at the Castle Beach Restaurant any day from 4-6:00 pm. We also offer dance and drum instruction for visitors.
What makes Korye different from other Culture Groups?
